We're not quite sure Palmers is a clothing company because, just like Sloggis, the models in the company's ads, like the one featured here in Berlin, are never wearing much. A web search doesn't tell us much only offering up even more images of models wearing next to nothing. A lingerie company? A thong-wearing showgirl troupe? Some kind of bootie-based therapy or the public? It looks good to us no matter what the company does.
Continuing it's Keep Dreaming of A Better World campaign, Che Magazine gives us yet another thing to dream about when it comes to a better world. That is if you think a better world is made of up female tennis players exchanging shirts at the end of a match. Oh, the things people do for publicity. To promote their ad contest for the practitioners of tomorrow, Young Guns releases Worth the Pain, which straddles the fine balance between educational and entertaining in a satisfyingly dark way. We dig the sense of despair dripping from the guy holding his head in his hands. What's got him so down? Is it the pressure that comes with competing for attention in a cutthroat industry, or is it the anal thermometer that explodes in hearts and rainbows? To promote its new Exilm EX-1000 10.1 Mega Pixel camera, Casio has set up Too Much Detail, a sit that shows just how powerful the zooming capability of the camera is. In fact, the zooming capability of the camera is so powerful it can zoom and pan right past the couple disrobing in the foreground and onto the very old couple having a bit of their own fun in the background. The fun part is zooming and panning around the and past the foreground images to find out which of 12 pictures the old couple is in. Once that image has been located, you can enter a sweepstakes to win the camera.
The site does a great job illustrating the features of the camera, avoids boring tech and spec stuff and offers up a bit of fun at the same time. There's also a little clip that goes along with the site that reveals why finding thr old couple might be a bit embarrassing to the foreground hotties.
Reverse Cowgirl sends us this titillating Lolita-like poster ad campaign (second image here and a motherlode here) for Lee jeans that was under the scrutiny of Australia's Advertising Standards Board after several people complained "the clothes can hardly be seen and "
this type of ad demeans women." True that but the Board did not rule against the ad saying, "The board (notes) that the woman is over 18, is fully clothed in attire that is fashionable amongst young women for summer, and that there is no nudity." True that too. Besides, a little fantasy never hurt anyone, right? Of course, some women will look at this ad and say, "I'm not dressing like that slut" while their boyfriend or husband at the same time begs them, "please, please dress like that slut for me!"
There's always been something seriously off putting about scenes in which people are tied to a bed for sexual purposes. While some freaks think it's erotic to be completely under the control of another, we think it's just plain stupid to put oneself in such a position of helplessness. That said, the power of sex always outweighs common sense as it does in this ad for U.K footwear and clothing maker Base. The poor guys in this ad thinks he's going to get lucky with the red-lipped, dark-haired, thong-clad hottie as she drops her bra and panties to the floor until he realizes what she puts on. How this sells shoes, we have no idea but it was interesting to watch.
