TNN Becomes Spike TV"Today the first network for men has a name, and it's Spike TV," said Albie Hecht, president of TNN. "Spike TV captures the attributes and essence of what we want the first network for men to be. It's unapologetically male; it's active; it's smart and contemporary with a personality that's aggressive and irreverent. This is a first major step in our journey to super-serving men in a way no one has done before." We've gone from The Nashville Network to The National Network to...Spike TV! Beer Boobs and Babes. Better just keep quiet next time, PUMA. Lesbians to Kiss on Daytime TVThe first lesbian kiss on daytime TV will take place on "All My Children" April 22. Why is this news? Apparently, it's a big deal for some people to see women kiss each other on TV. Here's how the network is rationalizing this so called bold move: "The theme of 'All My Children' from the beginning is the belief that, as God's children, we are all bound to each other by our common humanity despite our many personal differences; that it is our failure to understand and respect those differences that causes most of life's pain and suffering," said the show's creator, Agnes Nixon, in a statement. Hmm...that's a new one. Bringing God into the excuse for a ratings ploy. PETA Mad Because Al Jazeera Won't Run Anti-Meat AdPETA wants to run one of it's ads that trys to depict meat eaters as murderers on the Al-Jazeera Network. PETA is mad because the network will air bloody American bodies but not PETA spots. "Shower Mobile" Promotes Nivea Products in BangkokDescribed by Da-Bitch as "another girly gimmick gone awry", a mobile platform of Thai women taking showers to promote a new Nivea product drove around Bangkok last Wednesday. Officials were not amused. Hey Nivea, I'll let you drive up my street! |
