Britney Spears, whose ad career we've been avidly following here on Adrants, is out with new work for candies. In a new campaign for the brand's Autumn line of clothing for teens, 28-year-old Spears is looking very teen-like herself.
The campaign uses phrases from her hits songs and mirrors past work such as the Me Against The Music video she did with Madonna.
Wieden+Kennedy took home an Emmy for Outstanding Commercial at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony this past Saturday evening for its Old Spice commercial The Man Your Man Could Smell Like. Last year the agency won for Coke Heist.
"Winning an Emmy is a surreal experience. It's such a great honor to be recognized by the entertainment industry and encourages our desire to create work that not only sells products, but entertains people. We're very honored to have been one of the three Wieden+Kennedy spots nominated. Owning half of the six nominations is a testament to the amazing creativity happening inside the walls of our office, and the talented people and clients we get to work with," said Jason Bagley and Eric Baldwin, W+K creative directors for Old Spice.
Great work, WK.
One day prior to Overstock's private sales site, upstart Kembrel, yesterday, launched what it claims to be the world's first Facebook private sales store for college students. Accessible from browsing to checkout completely within Facebook, the store, the store now has 20,000 registered users gleaned mostly through word of mouth during the beta period.
At launch, 50 brands which are "tightly curated by young buyers who understand the student market" have signed on with the platform.
"We offer a direct marketing channel to a niche demographic untapped by other private sales sites, as well as a chance to build brand loyalty among an educated, trend-savvy and young demographic," said Valerie Muvdi, Buyer at Kembrel
Uh oh. Flying a donkey over a beach didn't go over so well. We wonder how well things will fare for this flying ostrich who skydives out of an airplane. OK, so it's totally CGI but still. From Saatchi & Saatchi Johannesburg, it's a commercial for Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bar.

If you live in San Francisco (or any other major city) you may have seen an inordinate amount of topless men and women wandering around topless for GoTopless.org, an organization the supports the notion women should be able to legally bare their breasts in public.
The stunt was organized by the Raelian Movement, that cultish group that believes "that life on Earth was the result of scientific creation by an advanced, extraterrestrial human civilization, the Elohim, mistaken for gods in the Bible."

Mick Jagger's daughter, Georgia May Jagger, is continuing her modeling career with an appearance in a new campaign for Versace. Daughter of Mick and Jerry Hall, Jagger began her modeling career in 2008. For Versace, she'll be the face of the brand's Hudson Jeans. Of note, Jagger was just 17 when she took her top off for photographer Mario Sorrenti.
Of Jagger's appearance in the campaign, Hudson spokesman David Lipman said, "It's all about the heritage of having Mick Jagger as a dad and Jerry Hall as a mum. But more than anything, it's her spirit that captivates me." Perv. Oh, sorry, she's 18 now. Ogle all you want.
