So...what's going on in this new McDonald's commercial from leo Burnett? Well, Spaceman Stu, a little kid, lands in front of a McDonald's, is handed a Happy Meal filed with all his favorite things. He's a very happy traveler. Especially at the end of the commercial when he catches a glimpse of the McDonald's employees killer legs. Weird.
Anyway, the ad's a month old but it's a slow news day and we caught this on AgencySpy so we thought we'd share.
For the last two years, McCann Erikson's More Fucking Cowbell has won the annual Advertising Week Battle of the Ad Bands. And rightly so. They rock. But just how long can a dynasty like this last? After all, whatever happened to Whitesnake? Poison? Iron Maiden?
On Tuesday September 28 at the Highline Ballroom beginning at 8PM, you'll all have the chance to see whether or not McCann can keep its title. Or, if you're so inclined, see if you can beat them. If you work in an agency and you have a band, submit your entry here (PDF).
Otherwise, just go. It's a lot of fun.
So there was all this talk in June about Lindsay Lohan appearing nude in an ad campaign for her line of handbags. It seems that never happened but she did hook up with Marc Ecko for a series of ads promoting the designer's Cut & Sew Fall 2010 campaign. She'll appear in several videos for the brand as well.
Explaining the campaign, Ecko said he decided to use Lohan as a digital muse for the campaign which, among other things, he says is an homage to old James Bond posters.
The photoshoot took place May 7. TMZ images from the campaign.

Convenience just got a new friend. Oh yes, my friends. Backyard parties and all the work it takes to prepare them are now simplified with Malibu Rum's Porta Party Pro, a backpack designed to make drinks. And that's not all!
There's also the Shaker Shaper, an electrified cocktail shaker that resembles a kind of shock treatment. And then there's Mike Morgan on the Hey Sunrise show demonstrating all the Malibu Rum party goodies.
Great Works is the agency behind the work.
Yea well anything called Booty Reader is destined to receive a ton of press so hats off again to Crispin Porter + Bugusky who came up with this little booty analyzer for Old Navy. Madame Eva will read your cards, take a look at your butt, determine your bootiliciousness and then match you to the proper pair of jeans.
Now that's just what we need to distract us from our daily duties; a site, I Breastfeed Because, on which women can discuss why they breastfeed and upload videos. It's all to "give moms a voice on the importance of breastfeeding" during World Breast Feeding Week August 1-7. Who comes up with celebratory weeks for stuff like this?
Breast feeding, along with the rest of the crap that is thrown in our face on a daily basis, used to be a private matter. Not any more. Oh no. Got cancer? Tell the world. Too fat? Go on a TV show. Think your daughter dresses too skanky? Don't bother educating her about proper dress. Go on Jenny Jones and make a fool out of the both of you. Want to whip your tits out in public and feed your baby? Go right ahead. There's a web site just for you.

EA Sports is prepping fans for the launch of Madden NFL on August 11. The campaign features six scenarios with NFL pros surprising fans with game delivery, and play. The campaign, which broke yesterday, was created by San Francisco advertising agency Heat.
The :30 and :60 both begin and end with Super Bowl winning quarterback Drew Brees in Times Square, where among crowds and cheerleaders, he challenges passers-by to "a quick game of Madden," played on a giant, 40' x 40' Spectacolor screen, then tosses free games to the fans. A total of 2000 games were given out while filming the campaign.
