Earl Woods Was Not Talking to Tiger in Nike Commercial

earl_tiger_woods.jpg

The audio used for the Earl and Tiger Woods ad was taken from a 2004 interview of Earl Woods during which he was talking about his wife Kultida, not Tiger. When Earl says "I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what you're thinking was, I want to find out what your feelings are and did you learn anything?", he is describing his personality in comparison to Kultida's.

It's safe to say the voiceover used for the Earl and Tiger commercial is completely out of context to the subject at hand and adds a heavy dose of ammunition to the arsenal of the ad's naysayers.

Babbling Bimbo Banished From Boat

nitro_boats_babbling_bimbo.jpg

For a man, sometimes it doesn't matter how hot your girlfriend is, how big her breasts are or how amazing she looks in a bikini. Because when she's a chatty bimbo who threatens your leisure time, there's no place for her in your life.

Politically Incorrect Coffee Lady Touts Continental Soup

contenental_soup_rob.jpg

This Continental Soup commercial is a cause group hat trick trashing the bespectacled, the bald and the short, among others. But it's oddly amusing so let's all keep it a secret from the Board of Bespectacled Bitches, the Bureau of Bald Boys and the Support Society for the Small. K?

The spot was directed by Hungry Man's Tim Bullock.

Bantam Live Remakes Eighties Apple Versus Microsoft Ad

bantam_live_apple_microsoft.jpg

Highlighting the simplicity of its CRM software in comparison to Salesforce, Bantam Live remade an Apple versus Microsoft commercial from the eighties. It's the classic Gold Standard versus Nimble Upstart approach. If anything, it's just fun to see how things have changed in the last 20 years. And how much they haven't.

Bikinis and Speedos Win Applicants Bahamas Internship

bahama_fridays_internship.jpg
Wait, What?

Bahama Fridays is up to its bikini-clad antics again. this time with prank intern interviews. Part of a Bahamas promotion, the Bahama Fridays thing has included random Grand Central Station bikini appearances and other random public stunts.

This promotion has a collection of potential interns appearing for interviews. The office staff are dressed in beach wear and go about their duties as if they were dressed normally. The interns, who don't want to appear as if anything is wrong, go about their interviews as normally as they can. Until things go a bit over the top and some of the interns themselves don beachwear and join the party.

The TRUTH campiagn could take a lesson or two from this and spice up their lame fake interview approach.

The Tiger Woods Spoof Ads Roll In. And They Are Bad

tiger_woods_nike_father_learn_anything.jpg

If you're going to make a spoof, at last try to make it funny. This one from Landline is lame. In act, it's beyond lame. And it's embarrassing. These guys can do much, much better. We've seen it. This is just beyond bad. The Jimmy Kimmel spoof makes this one look like the work of a kindergartner.

And this one from Someecards is equaly as bad.

Effen is F'ing With Us

EFFEN_Flight_Attendant.jpg

Oh lets just come right out and say it, Effen. There's nothing more satisfying than fucking on a plane. Nothing warms me up like fucking by the fire. Everyone enjoys fucking in the penthouse.

But, hmm. The literal approach kinda ruins your attempt at witticism, right?

It would make your new Euro RSCG Chicago-created "Provocatively Premium" campaign "Perfunctorily Prosaic," right?

So go with the wit. Have fun with your wordplay. We'll pretend to enjoy the wink and the nod. And then we'll go hang with the fembots and drink Svedka.

The Internet Has Ruined Our Lives

ymca_internet.jpg

If this campaign from TBWA\Vancouver is to be believed, we are headed for disaster. We don't go outside. We play games but not sports. We east fast and together less. We let our kids online and don't let them walk to school. We listen to our headphones and not to each other.

Well, the YMCA want to to get off your ass, go outside, stop playing video games, eat right and get the hell off the internet.
