Hawaiian Caffeine Contenders May Get More than Just a Good Lei

coh_starbucks.jpeg

In an effort to convert coffee-drinking loyalists, Coffees of Hawaii recently left some free coffee samples pinned to car windshields in front of a few Starbucks. The samples promoted the frequency and variety in their coffee delivery service.

Apparently the Hawaiian tradition of getting visitors leid is a kindly euphemism for what they prefer to do with local competition. Here's to hoping the coffee is just as hard - er, strong.

aw, coffee! the best coffe grows at around 5,000 feet...coffee grown at less than 5,000 ft is second rate. Jamiaca Blue Mountain, Hawaiian Kona and Colubian are all superior beans. St*rb*s uses Central American and African beans that, well, just don't measure up. Esspresso and Cappuccino are not what I'm referring to here. Arabica and Robusto are the beans and only one is prized. The other is ordinary crapola and most often found in lattes, etc. Thx for the post Angela.

That http://www.coffeesofhawaii.com selection is indeed amazing and I wish they'd drop a few samples on my windshield. :-)
