Clear Channel Uses Pirate Radio Tactics to Promote New Station
Stay Free reports Clear Channel Radio (as initially determined through Whois registration and copied here) is behind a fake pirate radio station website in Ohio on which, for the past week, the practices of Clear Channel itself have been mocked. According to those that visited, the site contained content as well as discussion boards. Though upon visiting the site today, the site simply says, "The radio revolution begins Tuesday May 31st. Stay Tuned." Even Whois info seems to, somehow, have been changed removing all reference to Clear Channel. It seems Clear Channel has hastily cleared it's path of all detection. The site is said to be a promotion for a format change for one of Clear Channel's Akron Ohio stations. According to those in the area, other station broadcasts in the area, on Clear Channel stations, have been interrupted with cryptic promotional messages. More discussion and details here.

I'm sure the site is refering to the radio revolution....which entails the complete removal of all radio commercials...just like Tivo or DVR can do.
They're now going to have to do "the advertising" during the song itself....just as TV is doing now with screen imprinted logos such as coca-cola for American Idol.
The chip device pauses live radio.....knowing excatly when a "commercial" is on...spells another paradigm shift to a medium that the public will soon be able to control at will. As of right now....the device would retail for $10. ouch.....Clear Channel
ps. the device also allows you to record your favorite station without any commercials of any kind....even talk.
I forgot....it also allows you to store and record multiple radio channels at the same time without commercials. Also has the feature to record your favorite radio personality anytime you like....to listen whenever you like...exactly like Tivo or DVR.
You will also be able to know from your chip what the songs are that's been recorded. Once you have the song...you can easily download to anything. Over time your "collection" of songs can be more than an iPod can store.
New name other than Clear Channel....Very Unclear Channel
