Force Fed Diversity Nets Photoshop Disaster

fun_guide_photoshop_disaster.jpg

We're all for diversity but not when it becomes forced efforts both in real life and in Photoshop hack jobs like this cover of Toronto-based Fun Guide. You can't fake diversity which is exactly what the magazine did when it chop shopped a perfectly decent, racially-nebulous photograph of a family for its cover.

Nope. We need a black man, stat!

Explaining the hack job, Toronto Director of Strategic Communications Kevin Sack said, "You won't find a more inclusive organization than us. We want everyone to feel involved and welcome to participate in everything. That's the only goal. Nothing wrong with that."

Even if it's forced...and fake...and contrived...and stupid looking...and well, just plain bad? Seriously, people. Are we so overly sensitive to the issue of diversity that every family has to represent some sort of fabricated rainbow coalition of United Nations family planning?

LOL. The worst thing about it is that it is such a horrible photoshop job too. What is up with the bizarro sideways glance and grin? I would be curious to see where they cut the black guys head out of, it almost looks like it would be some beer ad where he is leering at a hot girl.
