Keira Knightly Turns Down Breast Enhancement for Movie Poster
Four years ago when Keira Knightley starred in King Aurthur, the studio had her breasts digitally enlarged for the movie's promotional materials. Knightley, now 23 and starring in the film The Duchess, refused requests from studio heads to toy with her chest, claiming she's happy with her body the way it is.
Oh yes, we all love period piece cleavage, what with the era's corseted gowns and plunging necklines, but every woman should be able to feel completely comfortable with her own body without society dictating that they be a C or D cup.
Knightley, who caved to studio breast enhancement requests in 2004, put her foot down this time. Last year she told Britain's GMTV, "I would love to have breasts! I'm never going to get them. I'm naturally who I am."
While we'd all love to be perfect, we know perfection doesn't really exist. And creating the illusion that it's attainable only spawns unrealistic goals that can do serious damage to a person's psyche.

As me dear old mum used to say, "what you don't have when you're young, wouln't hang when you're old."
Here, here Keira!
good on you Keira!
I'm 5'8 and 50kg and can not gain weight no matter what I do! I have been to the hospital dietician, had countless blood tests, toxicology tests etc etc etc... And have been told it is just how I am and there is nothing I can do about it.
I won a years membership to the local gym last month and had to give it to my husband as last time I tried the gym I had everyone following me to the toilet to see if I was throwing up... People constantly commented on how skinny I was and so many mentioned they thought I was anorexic! Even in the street people mention my thinness.
I've tried every protein shake, food etc etc on the market.. Have slothed around for weeks, eat every junk food, carb and protein thinkable and have not gained a kg. I was told after having my son I'd put on weight but I have lost more.. (so that isn't always an answer!)
I see constant weight loss programmes etc and it frustrates the hell out of me as being small can be bad too! I have constant lung issues (collapsed lung when younger), health probs due to not having fat stores.. Low endurance (and I need endurance as I'm a contract gardener)...
My pants don't fit unless I put them through the dryer to shrink them a bit and I'm not confident to wear a bikini due to lack of curves. but only due to the pressures of public perception etc.. you wouldn't go up to a big person and say 'go to weighwatchers girl!' .. so why comment on slimmies!?!!! Totally get how you feel Keira and good on you for sticking to your values!
