Aloha Airlines Deals With Luggage, Not Baggage
Now here's an ad with some moxie if that's the right word. In this ad for Aloha Airlines, we have this couple sitting together accompanied by the copy, "We'll deal with your luggage. You deal with your baggage." Whether that sentiment eludes to the husband's bulging mid-sectional baggage or the personal baggage he burdens his wife with with his apparent smugness, the ad certainly extends well behind the save haven of most ridiculously sachrin airline advertising. The work comes from Hawaiian agency Milici Valenti Ng Pack.

I love it. There's any number of interpretations here. Who is the baggage? First impression: the old lady. But look deeper. It could be the old man. Maybe her annoyed look is due to him ripping some really foul ass. Look at his face, that's the face of a man taking pride in his flatulence.
That's the fun stuff, but in the end it also gets the message across very clearly.

I like it, too. But due disclosure: I started my career at this agency. BTW, nit-picky point; it's a Hawaii agency, not Hawaiian. Most of the people working there are not of Hawaiian decent. (Believe me, after living in Hawaii, you ignore these little nuances at your own peril. Just try honking your horn at somebody over there, and you'll see what I mean.)
I love this ad also but then again I did it. I'm just using this posting to say "Hey Bob haven't heard from you in years, where the hell are you working now"?
Dave Daniels? Holy shit, brother, how you doing? Email me at my first initial+last name+hotmail.com.
An adrants Missed Connection gone right! :) Loved the ad, myself.
