Diggnation Hosts to Appear on Jimmy Fallon Tonight
So who says this new-fangled social media, web 2.0 stuff doesn't work? Not Diggnation's Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht who, on January 16th interviewed Jimmy Fallon, will, in return, appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight.
Watch them. They're good. But if you miss it and are going to SXSW, you can see them do a live show at the Bigg Digg Shindigg at Stubb's Saturday night beginning at 6:30PM.

First of all, love the Twitter experiment. They chose a completely likable audience member and have bestowed @bryanbrinkman instant Twitter celebrity.
Second, I think Kevin Rose did an awesome job representing for the Digg brand. He explained it succinctly and was the most coherent person up there.
But ultimately, Jimmy Fallon is so uncomfortable that he makes all his guests uncomfortable in the process. And this was not a good recipe. It all just rubbed off and made the audience uncomfortable about laughing.
As popular as Kevin and Alex are in some circles, they are relatively unknown to the mainstream. So Fallon needed to be the confident one in this interview. Instead he almost set them up for failure. The Diggnation guys had to pull their own weight and that's hard to do in this setting with no set up.
I like Fallon, well enough, but there's no doubt that something has to change in his performance for this to work. If you don't believe me, switch over to CBS at about the time you start feeling uncomfortable with Fallon. Check out Craig Ferguson for about five minutes, then tell me that there's ANY reason to switch back.
Okay, that's my rant for today. :)
See you on the show, Steve!
