Once Again, Subvertising Rears Its Illogical Head
Follow this logic. Groups such as Adbusters, Billboard Liberation Front, The Bubble Project, Banksy and Graffiti Research Lab hate advertising. So what do these groups do to share their distaste for the horrific practice known as advertising? They create more advertising to advertise their distaste for, yes, advertising.

I have won a few awards from AdBusters over the years starting back in 2002 for Anti-Ads, No-Shopping day, etc...way before Mr. Banksy was ever mentioned in any press or on any wall, back then COST & REVS dominated the wheat-pasted world of NYC.

Artists and Brands have the same goal. To self promote and make money.
OK, so one of them occasional comes out with "war is a bad thing" and the other comes out with "buy some soup" (or is it the other way round?)
Brands tend to be less hypocritical though.
