Just Another Subservient Animal Who Needs a Favor
Apparently a thing called the Mac Monkey needs freeing. (He's "starved of creative stimulation." Guess he hasn't discovered his own poo yet. Also, why does he have people fingers?)
Intended to increase subscriptions to Creative Review Magazine, Free the Mac Monkey was conceived by London-based STEEL, which sought to distract us from calling foul ("SUBSERVIENT CHICKEN RIP-OFF!") with the tasteful inclusion of early Steve Jobs wall art. And they almost succeeded. Well ... no, not really.

Isn't that wall art actually an old Mac ad featuring Steve Jobs?
I'm an asshole! Thanks.
Um How is this a "SUBSERVIENT CHICKEN RIP-OFF!" It's just a live web cam on a monkey. Subservient Chicken by Crispin Porter + Bogusky was an awesome flash based interactive extravaganza. These guys just focused a camera on a Monkey in a studio, it's the users that are barking orders at him. I'm pretty sure the chat is just there so you can actually prove that it's real and live unlike Subservient Chicken.

Whoops sorry for the multiple post your site sucks and I kept getting error messages.
You mean Subservient Chicken by the Barbarian Group.
@Angela, don't sweat it. I always thought that Apple casted a Cruise lookalike until some dude at a conference used it as a slide.
The monkey looks more like a freaky lion with a brown mane!
Look at how much PR they've got through their crappy attempt though... even Adrants is talking about them!
There is a great post that explains this Ambient Advertising style here:
