Nike: Jump Over a Moving Car. Kobe Bryant: How High?
Jun Group is distributing a Nike-sponsored YouTube video where Kobe shoves some shoes in the camera's face and then jumps over an Aston Martin coming at him from 50 MPH.
"DON'T -- TRY -- THIS -- AT HOME!" he shouts, but come on. How often have you done some dumb shit on a boring afternoon just to see if you could?
That Kobe. If he's not cheating on his fine-ass wife, he's doing silly shit for shoe dollars. Way to set an example, role model guy.
We're filing this under "Bad," but what we really mean is "Stupid."

Stupid, yes. But also very smart.
Didn't some kid on the Ellen show do this first? Like last year?
Here's a version with a different ending...

So IF you need to be told not to try this, you probably deserve to be hit by a car.
Besides, isn't this the type of exciting and compelling advertising you guys are supposed to get excited about? It's a lot more interesting that a world made out of foam.
I don't know whether it's fake or not, but there was a european basketball player who jumped over a car to win a dunk contest overseas several years ago.
And there's several guys who can grab coins off the top of regulation backboards.
I'd believe that Kobe could do it...
definitely not real and definitely not cool because... it's obviously not real.
the whole attitude Kobe takes in the video is that he is a bad-ass. As far as I'm concerned, you're a bad-ass if you do it. He didn't, so you're just a poser. At least the nike video with Ronaldinho there was a little "wink" involved and not smack-talk.
all total, it has gotten a 2 million views, so you can't argue with that. but to what end? if they are going just for exposure, then it is a nice start. if they are actually trying to showcase the talent of their spokesmen and their shoe, then i think they missed big time.
some group is going to make some sort of official statement about this setting a bad example for kids at some point.
Yea, you guys gotta be kidding me thinking this is real. There's no way a professional athlete would risk getting run over by a car for an advertisement. People have done this before (no-name people mostly) with cars that are parked. This is just a viral video that makes people wonder whether it's real, just like the Ronaldinho one where he repeatedly kicks the soccer ball against the crossbar (http://tinyurl.com/6ayq4h) and the Lebron James one where he sinks 3's from full court. Except, those two were more debatable...this one's clearly fake.
