Rayban Sunglass Toss, Axe Girlfriend Ported to Nissan Rogue Vids
Before we even comment on these video supplements to the Nissan Rogue campaign which broke on Heroes last night, we truly hope its real. Not in the sense that it was passed off as something that came from the brand but didn't because it did. Nissan is all good with transparency here. Rather, we hope the stunts filmed in the videos are genuinely real and not altered with post production foolery.
Borrowing a bit from the Rayban Never Hide videos and the Axe Girlfriend comes this video campaign for Nissan's Rogue from TBWA\Tequila in LA. In the videos, the "Maze Master" shows us his skills with a marble maze game. In the first video, Maze Master and friend perform stunts with a marble just the Axe video did with quarters and the Never Hide videos did with sunglasses.
In the second video - which stretches the sense of believability a bit - the Maze Master drives a Nissan Rogue around with the marble maze duct taped to the passenger seat while driving the car to make the marble move through the maze. A bit improbable but, again, we hope it's real and not trickery.
We like the work. It's always fun to watch people perform seemingly impossible tasks the rest of us only wish we could achieve. YouTube commenters seem to love it as well, blissfully unaware it's a piece of marketing.
And yes, we know Rayban vid creator Chuck McBride used to work at TBWA. Read into that what you will.

Real or not I dunno, but these are pretty crazy and I watch Heroes. There was a 60 second spot on Heroes. Seriously, the thing was off the hook cool.
Saw the 60 on Heroes last night. It was simply insane. I dunno if these virals are real or not though. Either way, they're cool-ass.
It looks like the ball might have been magnetically guided. The last couple of turns in the vehicle didn't look quite right.

Wow! Those Maze Master videos are pretty cool! Those college kids make me laugh. I love how they get so excited about the marble maze. I miss my younger days like that.

I don't care much for the virals, but the TV commerical was magnificent.
