Culture Jammers Reprise McDonald's Fat Kid for KFC

That poor McDonald's Fat Kid. We don't know where he came from but he's been our poster child for the obesity discussion over and over and over and over and, yes, over again.

Now, it seems, KFC wants in on the action. Well, not exactly. They're just victim to the latest culture jamming episode to hit the streets of East London.

The famous fat kid in order to indicate how fast food is breeding a nation of obese children. Good idea. Good tactic. If we're going to be more drastic about such things, why not images of clogged arteries with Big Mac special sauce? Or oil from KFC's chicken?

Does this really get the point across? It is all about lifestyle. Fast food chains are now positioning themselves as how to have healthy lifestyle balance while one consumes their food. Could this possibly be the response to ads such as these? If so, we need to become a little more slick and smarter when it comes to fighting with thse fast food giants.
