IPAS Puts Pain on the Platform for Women's Rights

ipas2.jpg

Women's health and reproductive rights organization IPAS campaigns to get women to speak up when they've been sexually abused. The ads well illustrate both the rage and sense of isolation that occurs when a person's been compromised. The little tear on the right cheek is helpful too, and the font is nice and raw.

The ads were put together by Santaclara, a spankin' new Sao Paulo agency. Well, this is a good strong start. Ethnic variations for IPAS are here and here.

If it's from Sao Paolo, why's it in English? Also, I think it's overdesigined: I keep fixating on the severed-looking neck and exposed muscles. Too grotesque at the expense of emotional impact, maybe.

HELLO FREDDY KRUGER!! I agree with Daveednyc. The poster is very much over designed. Most women would probably not even give this poster a second look because its so disgusting. The design should be more comforting.

I SMELL SOME ENVY HERE!!!! The campaing isn't only well done when you talk about the art direction. But the concept is very strong. Sorry guys, but I will have to desagree with you guys. VERY COOL CAMPAIGN !!!

Polycarpe,
If you want some "COMFORTING", you should be in a beach drinking some "caipirinha". Not creating an campaign about woman who had suffered sexual abuse. Sorry, but I agree with Ninna.
