'Big Ad' Brewer Returns With 'Flashdance'
OK, this is just stupid oddly amusing enough to be funny. It's Carlton Draught's follow up to it's famed Big Ad. This time, the ad, called Flash Beer and created by Melbourne-based George Patterson Y&R, isn't focused on spoofing British Airways but rather that famous (and much spoofed) dance scene from the movie Flashdance. Except we don't get to watch Jennifer Beal's tight body writhe across the floor. We get to watch poor Kevin Cavendish who just wants a job at Carlton Draught brewing the beer because he loves it so much. By the end, we couldn't help liking it. We think you will too. If not, we're sure you'll let us know.

I simply don't get why they would require the Vividas plugin/player. That they can't use web standard players baffles me. Do they not want people to view their ad, or what?
This is great! Not only is it goofy they use this plugin, but they don't have any send to friend option. The first thing I wanted to do was to send it out, but alas, I have to resort to email on my own...
I don't get it. Vividas rocks! It's fast. It works. I didn't need a plug in. It's full screen. The resolution is decent. I think it's hands down better than "standard" players.
Vividas works perfectly smoothly for me and I am on a Mac, using Firefox and behind a corporate firewall = a very challenging browser to satisfy (thank God they didn't use Windows Media!!). Runs and looks amazing.
Vividas worked smoothly.
This ad uses strong influences to 'Since I Left You' - The Avalanches, film clip. youtube it to see
I thought this commercial was great.. didn't make me laugh out loud like "Big Ad" but still entertaining for sure.
"Since I Left You" is played at my local bowling alley sometimes and this commercial reminded me of that, also :)
