Campaign Targeting Black Gay Men Pulled

Claiming the campaign "demonizes black male sexuality" Black Gay Men's Leadership Council Treasurer says an AIDS ad campaign featuring a black man in cross hairs currently running in Philadelphia scares people rather than urging them to go get tested. The ad has been pulled from the city's buses, the campaign's website and posters and post cards have been pulled back.

I don't think this campaign demonizes anyone. The facts are the facts. And let's be honest - the target audience for this campaign doesn't "scare" easily

Actually, other sources provided better explanations for pulling the ads. The major issue involved the use of shooting imagery in a city (Philadelphia) with serious gun violence. In this case, they took targeting the audience too literally.
