Bruce Willis Says Ad Business More Cutthroat Than Hollywood
While in New York to film the psychological thriller The Perfect Stranger with Halle Berry, Bruce Willis, who plays an ad exec in the film, spent some time with Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners learning the industry's ropes and lingo. After spending a bit of time at the agency, Willis, humorously, commented to Richard Kirshenbaum and Jon Bond, "Wow, this business seems more cutthroat than Hollywood." You got it Bruce. Hollywood is for pussies. Madison Avenue is for tough guys.

No shit, Bruce. Ad pros actually have to work more than 3 months at a time.
We wrote about this on Adweek's Shoptalk page on Monday. Jon Bond said he described the ad biz to Willis this way: "Imagine you're at a party with your girlfriend, and everyone else at the party is trying to steal your girlfriend, and you're trying to steal girlfriends, and that's my day." I guess Bruce needed it dumbed down.
Actually, they're both filled with pussies "acting" like tough guys...
If the advertising industry is more cutthroat than Hollywood, it's going damn fast.
It would be advantageous if they'd both slow down and make more sense of things.
