AKQA Named 'Creativity's' Agency of the Year
Fighting their way through the clutter of agency holiday cards, agency AQKA would like us to know something a bit more important than who's designed the coolest Chrismukauanza card. The important news is that the agency has been named by Ad Age's Creativity as the magazine's first recipient of its interactive Agency of the Year Award. Kudos for witty holiday cards is all well and good but give AQKA a hand. These first, best only things don't come along very often.

Makes one wonder if this award is given out to "Best Agency" or "Best Agency that floods everybody with PR announcements on their mediocre work"
It's actually their 'interactive' agency of the year.
The Creativity [huge misnomer] agency of the year has gone to CPB for the 4th time in 6 years, because no one else in the universe is doing anything notable, aside from copying Subservient Chicken, I assume.
Even Crispin really hasn't done anything all that buzzworthy, with the possible exception of their "Hootie" commercial for Burger King. (Well, their "Chilltop" commercial for Coke Zero was also the subject of much conversation -- mostly about how impossibly lame it was.)
Which is not to say Crispin didn't do some good work this year. I just can't recall much of it generating much excitement among anyone other than those asskissers over at "Creativity."
