I've just seen that at AdverBox - that's great| :-)
Who did it? It's brilliant! It seems Hudsucker Proxy-inspired... "Every step he took was a step up, except that last one."
It's also at least a couple of years old. What's next, Steve? Apple's "1984" commercial?
Oh for fuck's sake. Does everything have to be less than two seconds old to warrant appreciation?
The economist did this years ago. Not an old photo-an old idea.right, satan?
This won best of show at the Obie's in 2000.
right. i knew i remembered it from somewhere. five years late aint too bad.
No, Jay, I mean that the CareerBuilder bustop ad Steve posted is several years old. I believe it was done by the Martin Agency. You're right: The Economist did something very similar -- a few years before CareerBuilder, if memory serves.
And Steve - you know we only rag on you because we love you. Next to Mistress Cleo's International House of Escorts, this is my favorite website.
next thing you know there would be ads on the bottom of buses but what products could be targeted to the sewer people? rat poison?
What year did this actually run? I like it but feel that the one currently running for Morgans is much more on target.
late to the comment-party here I see, but I did publish three identical ideas (and two buses with the words "Don't jump" on their roofs) waaaay back in 2003 - check how that careerbuilder.com bus stacks up here: http://commercial-archive.com/content/dont-jump-revisited
The Careerbuilder bus was first published on adland way back in 1998 http://commercial-archive.com/content/dont-jump - it was created buy the Martin Agency, in Richmond VA, and won the best of show at the Obies and a bronze lion in Cannes, but The Guardian one in the same article was running a year before it in London.
