Britain Gets 42 Below Vodka Treatment
New Zealand's 42 Below Vodka goes for cultural humor again in a new video clip that pokes fun at Britain with lines like "We particularly like the way Prince Phillip says whatever he wants and doesn't give a toss, he's like the grandfather us Kiwis never had because all ours were shot at Gallipoli". While we'd have to brush up on our international history to firmly grasp the full, inner meaning of that, we're sure it's supposed to be funny. As always, 42 Below likes to push the envelope> Remember, it was 42Below that poked fun at gays a while back.

i've been reading this site for a long time now, so i thought i'd finally leave a comment. this is a daily must read for me. best, spencer
oh, and also, those 42 below commercials are pretty funny... i think. (not kiwi)
The history in brief: NZ suffered 8000 casualties (alongside Aussies, Brits, Indians and others) in a campaign on the Gallipoli Penisula in Turkey during WW1. New Zealanders blame the Brits for the poorly conceived and badly led campaign. Hope that helps.
I think these ads are really funny If we cant laugh at things then life would be very boring, I have no problem with gay people or british or anyone for that matter but I can still see the humour in these ads... come on now!
The boys at 42 below show a typical kiwi attitude to life, taking the piss out of everything, i agree with what was said before that if we cant laugh at things like this in life then life would be boringl. I think the greatest shame is that these ads cannot be aired on tv, and some people may take offence to these ads as they are taking the piss out of countries such as england, australia and gay people, but it also makes a huge mochery of new zealand but in a way we can laugh at it
