TNN Loses Spike Battle…For Now

For now, Spike Lee wins the battle to stop TNN from using the word Spike for their newly launched network. I think it’s stupid. How many people really think of Spike Lee when they here the word spike?

“I spiked the punch”. “There was a spike in traffic to that website”. “I just spiked that shot”. “I just nailed that spike into the ground”. Do you think of Spike Lee when you hear those phrases? No likely. SO why would you think of Spike Lee when you see Spike TV on TV?

Don’t get me wrong, he is/was a great film maker and he is a well known name. I’m no lawyer but this just sounds dumb.
