Student Ad Contest Offers $15K Prize

CommercialPitch.com, a new original ad sharing platform, is holding a contest, What’s Your Pitch, to find the most “out of the box” original ad. The contest is open only to U.S. college students and offers a grand prize of $15,000 cash.

Commercial Pitch says ideas can be submitted via video, image, or text. After submission they are posted on the site to be voted upon by visitors. The three best ads will be chosen by a panel of judges in tandem with voting statistics.

The site says it provides a platform whereby budding creatives can be discovered by an ad agency or marketing firm and earn commissions off successfully pitched ads. The contest runs through October and has a small number of applicants thus far. If you’re looking to break into the as business…and win some cash along the way, this, perhaps, is one possible avenue to consider. Either that or it’s a good way to get some healthy criticism in preparation for the criticism you’re sure to experience on a daily basis if and when you do land that first job
