Strumpette’ Plans to Liven Up Public Relations Industry

The PR industry is all a flutter over the launch of a new blog Media Orchard tells us about called Strumpette which promises to be the Gawker of public relations. It’s written by Amanda Chapel who says “Strumpette is a totally naked journal of the PR Business.” Apparently, she plans to take the lid off the industry and hold it up to a mirror.

In describing herself and her approach, we’d agree some serious gossip lay ahead. Amanda writes, “I am 5′ 4” tall, athletic, Pantine shoulder-length black hair, perfect perky boobs. I present well and am most accomodating. I’ve slept with clients. I sleep with my boss. I am the consummate PR strumpette. When I was 7 my mother told me I’d “never get anywhere with that mouth.” I’ve apparently dedicated my life in proving her wrong.”

It all ought to add a bit of spice to the Pepper/Rubel world of PR blogging. Speaking of Steve Rubel, Amanda, in her first post, has launched a contest where players can guess Rubel’s exit date from Edleman since Amanada seems to feel strongly he won’t last long. Steve disagrees and says he’ll make it to 2015 to which Amanda responds, “August 29, 2015?!! Like I said, and I’ll wake up with bigger boobs. For 2015, I’d surely have a bad back,” to which we responded in comments, “We’d love to see Steve stay at Edelman until 2015. That way, we’d get to admire Amanda’s back breaking boobs” to which Amanda responded reminding us, “you are forgetting gravity. By 2015… they’d hardly be the fresh melons you crave. Trust me, perky is the better long-term strategy.” Hmm. Perhaps. Anyway, enough of this blather. We have serious advertising issues to discuss here.
