SPAM Crashes the Bored Room. AND YOUR LIFE.

We’re just waiting for the spoofs on “Break the Monotony,” a campaign for SPAM — yes, the meat whose identity you can never quite peg — put together by LAIKA.

See “Bored Room,” which depicts bread slices in a meeting, falling gradually into comas, until SPAM leaps in, Kool-Aid Man-style, and crashes the party.

“For a sandwich that RAWKS, try a SPAM lettuce and tomato!”

“More fun ideas at SPAM.com!” gushes a female bread slice, who lets her hair down and waves it around suggestively. Spam.com is also where you can find more warped-ass SPAM ads. With organic being all trendy and all, it’s just crazy to us that SPAM is running ads again. It leaves us with an unsettling retro feeling — kinda the way you’d feel if you saw Bugs Bunny use a Japanese slur on Looney Tunes.

Not to say there doesn’t remain a place for SPAM in our lives. It’s practically a community event when our sister makes SPAM sushi: a tradition both sad and sickeningly tasty.
