Social Media Marketing Conference to Prove Not All Brits Are BP (British Pigs)

The British may have decimated our southern coastline and killed the ecosystem of an entire gulf but our friend Murray Newlands is putting on a social media conference in San Francisco this July to prove they are not all evil. Provided he makes it (the last time a volcano kept him from traveling across the pond), it looks to be a great event. And Adrants is proud to be a media partner.

What will be covered at the event? Viral Social Media Campaigns, What Works, The Press Talks: How to get Digital PR for your Company, Insider Look: How Tech Writers Cover Social Media, A/B Testing for Social Media, How to Build Communities for Brands, Social Media Marketing Metrics, Social Media Marketing Metrics, Monetizing Social Media. To name a few.

Speakers, many of whom I’ve heard, include Chris Heuer, Ben Parr, Richard Jalichandra, David Gelles, Joe Vazquez, Tom Foremski, Kym McNicholas, Jon Swartz, Dan Martell, Jennifer Neeley Lindsay, Hiten Shah, Vinnie Lauria, Aaron Strout, Sarah Austin, Murray Newlands, Marissa Louie.

You should go if only to see the beautiful Marissa, the outspoken Chris, the uber social geek Ben and the bubblicious Sarah. Of course, they’re all awesome in their own right and totally into the whole social thing.

The event will take place in San Francisco on the Thursday, July 08, 2010 from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. If you want to get your name on the list for less just enter my name, SteveHall, when you register and get ten percent off.

Psychology says people who constantly try to become better versions of themselves aren’t actually growing — they’re running from a core belief that who they are right now isn’t enough, and that anxiety prevents the very self-acceptance that real growth requires

Research suggests that people who handwrite lists and people who use phone apps process their entire day differently. The paper list writers tend to plan from internal cues while the app users increasingly rely on external prompts, and over decades that difference quietly reshapes how autonomous a person feels inside their own life.
