Sanjaya Wants to Be LonelyGirl15 Really, Really Badly

Worse than watching the fall of a child star is watching the fall of a dirt clod that tried really, really hard to be a star but failed to make it past orbit.

In a video leaked to Defamer Sanjaya smugly divulges his true identity: that of Bill Vendall, an RISD student who adopted the Lamest Persona Ever for a thesis project.

Reality Blurred highlights one of the better quotes from his grand confession: “How you could look at this … and not see it as a symbol for the self-referencing nature of progressive evolution?”

Well, at least we know Sanjaya’s all-consuming power to embarrass wasn’t just the result of the stage lighting.

I’m 73 and I made the mistake of telling my daughter I was lonely and she immediately started researching senior centers and activity groups and volunteer opportunities — and what I wanted to say was I don’t need a schedule, I need someone to sit with me on a Tuesday and not try to fix the fact that I’m sad

I’m 73 and I eat dinner alone every night at a table set for one – and the first time I stopped apologising for it and actually enjoyed the silence, I understood something about solitude that most people spend their whole lives getting wrong

I spent many years thinking my father was emotionally distant because he never raised his voice or showed panic — and then when I got older myself I realized his calmness wasn’t detachment, it was the hardest-won skill he ever mastered
