Red Eyed Baby Olympus Camera Ad Killed, Goes Viral

In a world of consumer controlled media, there’s not much a company can do to stop the spread of something it wants to hide. Especially when a scorned creative is involved. Adland received an email from a creative at a European ad agency with a commercial for Olympus attached promoting the red eye elimination qualities of its cameras. The ad had been presented to the client in Europe who loved it but when big shots in the companies Japan headquarters saw it they were not pleased and told European counterparts to kill the ad. Too bad, guys. It’s out there for all to see now.
