The Oldtimers Discussion Group, a group founded in 1999 to discuss online marketing will host, along with Pace Media Group, an Agency Dinner for media sellers to meet with top online media buyers to gain insight into how buyers make their decisions. The event will be hosted by Oldtimer’s Andy Bourland and Pace Media Group’s Pesach Lattin and held during ad:tech at Novitia Restaurant, a Zagat’s Favorite, Tuesday, November 8 at 7:30PM. As is always the case in the “who’s-on-top” relationship between buyer and seller, media buyers attend for free and sellers are left holding th tab. But, then you knew that already. Yes, we’re a sponsor of the event. Give it a try.

People who apologize before anyone’s said what’s wrong may be doing more than displaying extra manners — research on parentification has found that children who grow up feeling responsible for a parent’s emotional state can carry that habit of anticipating, managing, and taking responsibility for other people’s feelings into their adult relationships, long after the household that taught it is gone.
