New Social Networking Site Victim of Boston-Style Marketing Stunt

Not that we need another but if you feel you simply don’t have enough online personas, there’s another place for you to place one, B4class. Created by 18-year old North Quicy, MA resident Sofia Loginova, the site’s unfortunate claim to fame, to the chagrin of Loginova, will now be yet another Boston-based marketing stunt gone wrong even though Loginova had nothing to do with it. This morning, unattended backpacks were found in Newton North High School which prompted a Aqua Teen Hunger Force-style lock down until it was determined the backpacks contained only promotional references to Loginova’s B4class.

Loginova told the Boston Globe, “I don’t know who did it and it sucks that my name is being associated with it. I don’t want to be compared with that [the Cartoon Network stunt] and its not at all how I want my site to be seen. I completely understand how people might feel about it and I feel horrible that this happened. But I don’t know how it happened.”

So give this enterprising girl a break and check out the just-launched B4class. She describes the site as a “combination of MySpace, Facebook and YouTube all combined into one website.”

The habit of stacking your own plates and wiping up your own mess before leaving a restaurant table costs nothing and asks nothing of anyone else, which is probably why it stands out so clearly to the people whose job is cleaning up after everyone who doesn’t.
