Mickelson Doesn’t Choke In New Campaign

Golf is kind of boring to watch. Go ahead, disagree with me in the comments section if you like, but everything about watching the sport on TV is sedated: the players, the crowds and even the announcers.

Watching Phil Mickelson in the new Crowne Plaza campaign by Fallon makes the sleep-inducing nature of golf telecasts all the more disappointing.

He is really funny.

The campaign update, which includes four spots, each of which feature Phil Mickelson and fans in a Crowne Plaza meeting room discussing various golf-related things with Phil, debuts this evening on television screens near you. We at Adrants give you a sweet, delectable taste of the creative before the masses.

After watching the spot I actually laughed out loud.

I wasn’t laughing uproariously, it was more of a chuckle, but sports stars are usually pretty wooden and spots that feature them are usually very flat. This one – the spot and Mr Mickelson – isn’t.
