Indiana Jones Cranks Up With Teaser Trailer

Bruce Willis did it. Sylvester Stallone did it…twice. And, as we’ve all been anticipating, Harrison Ford will attempt it May 22. Check into a nursing home? No way! These “old” dudes are still making films and people are still watching them. OK, so maybe not as many people as back in the day but still.

Last week, the teaser trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull broke and while it doesn’t show too much, it does bring back fond memories to those who enjoyed watching Indiana Jones do his thing back in the day. Like the recent Bruce Willis Die Hard outing, Harrison Ford will be paired with a younger actor to, ya know, get the kids who have no idea who Harrison Ford is into the theaters. That responsibility rests on the shoulders of Shia LaBeouf, recently seen in last Summer’s Transformers.

In the film, we’ll see Oscar winners Cate Blanchett, Jim Broadbent, John Hurt along with Karen Allen who appeared in the first Indian Jones film. Bruce Willis’ Die Hard did well. Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky did well. Here’s hoping Indy still has it.

And maybe when the “Governator” is out of office, we’ll see him again in Terminator 5.

I’m 73 and I can tell you that the loneliest thing about getting older isn’t the empty house — it’s watching your children build traditions that don’t include you and pretending you’re happy for them because the alternative is becoming the mother who made it about herself
