Dude Crowd Surfs His Way to Renault Megane

renault_megane_hands.jpg

Up until the final tagline, “Your five senses prefer a Renault Magane” (which you have to listen to over and over to understand), this Brazilian commercial for the Renault Megane instills that sense of brotherly love you get when…well…you crowd surf your way home from work while some techno plays in the background.

Interestingly, this is a car commercial that, thankfully, doesn’t feel like a car commercial. That is, until the end when the car is shown and we are treated to a fairly lame tagline. The five sense thing is a nice touch but it doesn’t sound all that appealing to smell the stench of a crowd of pseudo mosh pit dwellers. And let’s not even get into taste. What exactly is the guy tasting in the crowd? Or in the car.

Oh, damn. Now I sound like Bob Garfield; honing in on one minor negative point in an otherwise enjoyable commercial. Someone slap me!
