Domino’s Ramon De Leon Discusses Early Days of Social Media

Domino’s Ramon De Leon pioneered engaging with customers using online tools before social media existed. In 1998, his store began using AIM to communicate with customers. After that, he started taking pictures of pizzas as they were being made and sending them to customers. According to De Leon, this pretty much forced customers to share the content across social media.
