AshleyMadison Offers to Buy Rush Limbaugh’s Canceled Ad Inventory

As you may have heard, many advertisers have pulled their schedules from Rush Limbaugh following the host’s commentary on Sandra Fluke. Never one to shy away from controversy, dating site AshleyMadison, which enables hooks ups for married people, has offered to buy Limbaugh’s canceled inventory for three months.

Of the offer, AshleyMadison Founder and CEO Noel Biderman said, “We do not believe Mr. Limbaugh should be penalized for expressing his opinion, especially in America. We are offering to step up and fill the void left by the corporations who have pulled their advertising. Rush has always been a controversial figure and we have always been a controversial service so we can relate.”

Biderman sent a letter to Rush Limbaugh’s business development director, Michael Soifer, with the offer. The letter, in full, is below.

Subject: Rush Limbaugh Show Advertising Offer

Mr. Soifer,

Despite Mr. Limbaugh’s sincere apology to Sandra Fluke it appears the apology has not stemmed the tide of major corporations pulling out of advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show. The recent wave of national media coverage about Mr. Limbaugh’s comments seems to be creating conditions whereby corporations feel they must disassociate with the show from a public relations perspective. We do not believe Mr. Limbaugh should be penalized for expressing his opinion, especially in America. We are writing to offer to step up and fill the void left by the corporations who have pulled their advertising.

We propose the following:
1. AshleyMadison.com will buy all excess ad inventory from the advertisers that have pulled ads to date for three months

We hope you are interested in exploring this opportunity with us. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very truly yours,

Noel Biderman
CEO, AshleyMadison.com
