Get ready! It’s time for another Affiliate Ball. Taking place Monday night, August 13 during Affiliate Summit in New York, Affiliate Ball, organized by Darren Blatt, will feature Ice-T & Coco, Beastie Boy Mix Master Mike along with other surprise artists. Neverblue will be the title sponsor of the party making the event officially known as “Neverblue Presents The Affiliate Ball”.

Of their sponsorship, Neverblue said, “Neverblue is very excited to announce that we are the title sponsor for Affiliate Ball. This will be the best party in town and Ice & Coco with Mix Master Mike will be a huge hit! We look forward to entertaining the massive affiliate base that is attending Affiliate Summit East and look forward to meeting all of you at this legendary party. “

Darren Blatt, promoter and organizer of the Affiliate Ball, said he wanted the perfect New York party. This year’s party is expected to have over 2,500 invited guests from Affiliate Summit and it will be the official party on Monday night. Blatt changed venues so that the VIP’s can experience an outdoor, rooftop VIP area which can support about 500 people. The VIP area will have a “hipster orchestra” featuring the music of: Nirvana, The Strokes, Black Keys and more. The venue location will be announced closer to the event date.

Keeping a New York vibe, Affiliate Ball has retained MixMaster Mike, the legendary DJ of the Beastie Boys to perform over a 90 minute set. And, as mentioned, there will be surprise guests. Last year’s party was featured on TMZ when hip hop legends Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Caz and Dougie Fresh jumped on stage to perform.

Ice T and Coco have a successful cable TV show and Ic- T is also currently starring in NBC’s Law And Order.

“Of the party and Ice-T’s participation, Blatt said, “Ice has hosted a couple of my events years ago. Not only is he a consummate professional, he’s a very cool person. We plan on having Ice and his beautiful wife, Coco, walking around the crowd to shake hands, take pictures with our guests, and host the entire night on stage. Not only are they hosting the party, but they will be partying with us all night long!”

You can RSVP now on on the event website.

I’m 65 and I just sold the house my kids grew up in and on the last walk-through I stood in the kitchen doorway and could hear every birthday and every fight and every Tuesday night dinner and the new owners asked if I was okay and I lied because how do you explain that you’re not leaving a house — you’re leaving the last physical proof that your family once existed in one place

I’m 66 and I keep a voicemail from my mother who passed eleven years ago and I listen to it every Sunday morning before church and the thing that guts me isn’t her voice — it’s that she says “call me back when you get a chance” and I never did and now chance is the one thing I’ll never get again

I’m 73 and my adult son called me last week for the first time in three months and it was to ask me to co-sign a loan and I said yes immediately not because it was smart but because the sound of his voice asking me for something was the closest I’ve felt to being needed in longer than I can say out loud
