Adidas Goofs, Gives Sponsored German Team Belgian Colors

belgflg.gif

In a blunder of not so small proportions, Adidas, which is sponsoring German biathlon and nordic combined skiers, mixed up the country's proper colors and provided the team with caps in Belgium's black, gold and red colors instead of Germany's proper black, red and gold. Nothing like having to wear another country's colors while competing in the Olympics nor have the entire world see a sponsorship get screwed up..

How could this happen? Specially becuase Adidas is a GERMAN brand ??? Someone has to get fired over this. This is the olympics we are talking about here.

Something similar happend during a world cup a couple of years ago when the tv station showed the belgian flag instead of the german one.

You really can't expect the Asian sweatshop workers to be able to make such a subtle distinction between the flags. 20 cents an hour only buys you so much!

Impossible is nothing.
