Dustballs Get Carpet, Squirrels Get Nut With Sony PSP
TBWA/Chiat/Day has created two spots, directed by Monkmus of Hornet, for Sony's PSP. Both promote the PSP as a device that can be played outdoors. The first spot, Dustballs, has a couple of, yes, dust balls talking to each other. One is trying to convince the other he doesn't have to be stuck inside watching Carpet. he can do it outside. The second, Squirrels, has two squirrels talking to each other. One tells the other he doesn't have to be stuck inside playing Nut. he can play it outside. get it? Sony wants us to know we can use its PSP outdoors. Next.

I think the PSP is great amazing graphic cool gameplay. Somehow I don't see much advertising.
When it came out in North America there weren't too many games and you couldnt go on the net but now it's all changed but the best
Use the PSP outside? Ridiculous!
First of all, it's too expensive and delicate.
Second, you can't SEE the LCD screen in normal sunlight!
Third, it's the #1 most stolen consumer electronics device right now! Take a PSP outside you're begging to be mugged!
Finally, as most people get a PSP to store porn, surf for porn on the web browser, and play M-rated games which could be considered pornographic in some towns, you wouldn't want other people to see what you're viewing on your PSP!
The PSP is about as portable as a blender. Yeah, you can take it outside, but it's really sort of useless anywhere but in your house.
And the voiceover at the end of the ad sounds like Karl Pilkington off the Ricky Gervais podcast!
